BOSS Open, Stuttgart Prize Money
2024 Breakdown & Historicals
The BOSS Open is an ATP 250 series tournament held annually in Stuttgart, Germany. It’s the first of two grass court events following the culmination of the clay court season at Roland Garros, the other being the Libema Open.
The tournament dates back to 1898 when the Tennis Club Weissenhof held its first international tennis competition, which remains the venue, hosting many of the world’s best players.
For 2024, the BOSS Open’s total prize money is €734,915, which equates to $788,013 and £628,477 at the time of writing, representing a 2% bump over the prior year.
The tournament’s singles champion will receive a check for €104,261 or 14% of the total purse, while the runner-up will take home €60,816, 42% less than the winner and 8% of the total. In both cases, these prizes decreased by 5% vs. 2023.
In the smaller 16-team doubles event, the championship team will split €36,226, while the losing pair will share €19,381, 47% less than the winners. Both amounts decrease in line with singles at 5% compared to last year’s tournament.
The data in the following sections provide a complete breakdown of prize money at the BOSS Open for quick comparison. I’ve also included currency conversions from euros to US dollars and sterling pounds.
2024 Full Breakdown
The BOSS Open hosts a 32-player singles, and 16-team doubles tournament each year. Between the two, roughly 80% of prize money funds singles, while the remaining 20% goes to the doubles event, as is typical with ATP tournaments.
However, beyond discipline, we can further break down the event’s prize money by how far a player progresses through the tournament. The better a player’s result, the more they get paid. For example, the winner in singles will earn more than 14 times as much as a player who loses in the first round.
The following tables outline BOSS Open’s prize money by round for singles and doubles. Conversion of prize money to US dollar and sterling pound uses the prior year’s exchange rate on the day of the final for a consistent comparison year over year.

Prize Money by Year
Like other ATP tournaments, the BOSS Open evaluates prize money annually, considering the prior year’s performance and forecasts for the current year’s revenues.
As a result, various factors can influence prize money, including ticket sales, sponsorships, merchandise, and concessions, which is why it fluctuates yearly and sometimes declines.
The following table outlines the yearly prize money for the BOSS Open since 2000. Total prize money is lower than in years past because the tournament used to be part of the ATP International Series Gold, now equivalent to the ATP 500 series.
