Adelaide International Prize Money
2025 Breakdown & Historicals
The Adelaide International is a relative newcomer to the ATP and WTA calendars. It is held early in January, leading up to the Australian Open.
The event takes place at The Drive, a multipurpose venue emphasizing tennis as its main attraction, hosting a 28-player singles and a 16-team doubles draw for men and women on hard courts.
The Adelaide International will offer total prize money of $680,140 for ATP players and $1,064,510 for WTA players, which is 3% and 15% bumps compared to 2024. The discrepancy in prize money between the men’s and women’s tournaments is due to the tournament categories: ATP 250 and WTA 500.
The men’s singles champion will pocket $103,525, while the winner on the ladies’ side will earn $164,000 for her effort. In doubles, these amounts are significantly lower at $35,570 for men and $54,300 for women.
During the 2022 and 2023 seasons, the ATP and WTA tours held two distinct back-to-back tournaments, Adelaide 1 & 2. However, in 2025, there’s only one tournament for men and women in the city.
Keep reading for a detailed overview and complete breakdown of the Adelaide International’s prize money, along with historical data for reference and quick comparison.
Full Breakdown
Like most ATP and WTA tournaments, the breakdown of prize money starts with roughly 80% going toward singles and the remaining 20% funding the doubles event.
However, prize money breaks down further by round, so as a player progresses through the tournament, the more they earn. For example, the runner-up of the men’s singles event will take home $60,250, while a player who exits in the first round will make only $7,295 for their efforts.
The following tables provide a full breakdown of this data since it began in 2020. I’ve converted prize money to euros and Sterling Pound, which I calculate using the prior year’s exchange rate on the day of the final for a close approximation of value.
